Ohhhh I get all excited when I get to give something away
I was so inspired by Handmade Jane‘s wonderful post about the Roma jersey that I decided to make myself a top out of the Roma jersey. It is wonderful to sew with, so quick (It doesn’t need finishing as it is a stable knit so won’t fray) and when you wear it it is all warm and snuggly!
I am going to give away a wonderful Sewaholic Renfrew top pattern and Roma jersey fabric in the colour of your choice to make it. Hell I will even throw in a reel of thread to match so you won’t have to leave the house to make this perfect winter top.
What colour would you pick Grey Marl, Black, Navy, Forest Marl or Aubergine?
The Renfrew is the perfect top pattern for those of you scared of sewing with jersey, it has clever bands round the hem and sleeve so no worries about wobbly bottoms *insert you own joke here* and the Roma jersey is the perfect fabric to make it with.
HOW TO ENTER
- Follow my blog
- Take a look at the Roma jersey
- leave a comment below telling me which colour and version you would make this top in
- That’s it!
Happy sewing xxx
This is so nice of you. I've wanted that pattern for a while. I would make the long sleeve v-neck in purple.
Such a great giveaway! I've also wanted the Renfrew pattern for a while. I prefer short-sleeved t-shirts, so I would make view B in grey marl.
Great online shop btw, have been there several times dreaming of what I would buy if I lived in the UK.

Aubergine A for me!
I have to agree with a number of other comments…it would be version A in the Aubergine colourway for me!
Lovely fabric in your shop! View A in Forest Marl would be my choice.
Aubergine in view C!
Forest Marl in version C! I have wanted this pattern for so long, would actually love to try all the versions in all the colors.
I'm torn, grey, aubergine, grey aubergine, in view A please.
I would make up view A in the aubergine! The color is so lovely!
I am tempted by aubergine but I have a lot of purple in my wardrobe! So i will choose forest marl for View A.
Ohh navy wraparound dress sounds lovely
Handmade Janes does look fab doesn't it?
Thanks Sean

Josie AKA Fabric Godmother
Cowl neck for sure, and I love that gray marl. So classy!
I follow using Google Reader! I'd choose the aubergine or maybe the forest marl… View A I think but with the V neck…
I love the forest marle colour and I think I would make the cowl neck version (view C). Thank you for a lovely year of blogging and a great competition!
The cowl in the aubergine absolutely delicious. . .
Found your site today from Handmade Jane – now I am a follower 🙂 Would probably make view A or B in Forest Marl. Thank you!
I'm always so happy to find new sewing blogs to follow! I've always wanted to make a Renfrew and the Aubergine Roma jersey in view c would be just beautiful! Thanks for the giveaway! I'm doing a giveaway on my blog as well. If you've ever wanted to take a Craftsy class check it out!http://www.shanniloves.blogspot.com/2012/11/giving-thanks.html
Thanks for the opportunity!
I love view B neckline with view C sleeves in forest marl, and then I'd probably attempt to do a boatneck version (getting ahead of myself here) in the aubergine!
Thanks!
Helen
i love your blog and website, it always inspires me when i lack focus, anyway – i would make b in the aubergine as its looks a lovely cosy colour that will go with everything this season, if i won the giveaway then i would make lots of different variations of the renfrew!
Like @rainjerette, I found your blog through HandMade Jane. I also follow Mimi G (Isn't she jsut the coolest person? The way she puts her OOTD is simply inspiring). If I was to win I'd made version B in Navy to start off with – It's currently Summer time in Australia… Being Dark skinned, I carry navy pretty well. But to be honest, I fear that I might end up like Andrea (at Four Square walls) and make 101 versions of it. 😉
I would like view C in the Aubergine. I think this color would work great with my colors I have already selected for my winter sewing.
I would like to make view A (I'm a beginner so keep it simple) in Forest Marl (because I always go for green when it is available, and it would go with my brown trousers that I always struggle to find things for).
What a lovely give away. I would make the cowl top with the aubergine. Such a rich combo! g
hi Josie
i would choose version A in aubergine. great giveaway
View A, all the way! I'd choose forest marl – the colour is just so perfect.

ooh I'd love to give version A a go in forest marl..
I'd definitely make version C with long sleeves in Forest Marl. It's soooo beautiful!
Oooooh I love the aubergine but that colour does not look so good on me. I would go for navy and option A. Gorgeous 🙂
Thank you soooo much everyone for entering the giveaway, sorry I have not had time to post a comment for all of you but I have been overwhelmed!
Still time to enter make sure you tell your friends!

I would make view c in the aubergine! Would love it!
View C and the wonderful aubergine colour. What a lovely giveaway.
ca2jo@yahoo.co.uk
I do love aubergine, in view c.
I'd love to make the scoop neck version in forest green
I'd go the navy and to the cowl neck version. Susan
Hi, thanks for this lovely giveaway. I would make the B pattern in Aubergine as I'm still a sewing newbie and that looks the easiest 😛
I love the look of the C though, it looks lovely and warm!
I'd love to win this! I live in Canada and we're already having a super cold winter I can use all the snuggly I can get! I would pick aubergine in B! Thanks!
Your blog is lovely, I just found you through Handmade Jane's blog. I think I'd go for the scoop neck and long sleeves in navy, though I'd be tempted to add a big cream bow to the neckline too!
I would make view C in the aubergine, it is a beautiful colour!
I would make the cowl neck, because it's winter, in aubergine, because I'm a redhead and it's one of the few colours I feel really suits me!
