Vintage 1960’s chambray and other new fabrics

Yesterday I brought you a fabulous collection of vintage Italian silks, today it is a hoard of French chambray dating back to the 1960’s.  These wonderful cotton chambray bolts were discovered in the back room of a little French shop. Many of them still on their original bolts and all woven on the old narrow looms.

I think they would make the most beautiful shirts (what they were originally destined for) or how about an Emery dress with contrast collar and a neat bow?

As with the silks I only have 1 bolt of each colour and when they have gone that will be all. These fabrics are all 100% cotton and are 70cm wide. They are also only £5 per metre, so be quick if you want to grab yourself an exclusive French vintage bargain. See the full collection of vintage fabrics here.

Check out the other new fabrics just added…

Tile cotton lawn devoré, this white fabric would make a super little top, or why not make a classic white shirt with a twist. Only £5 per metre.

A silk and cotton blend voile with a fantastic coral print, enough body to make a lined dress, or keep it sheer as a blouse or kimono. Empera is only £6 per metre.

We have added 2 lovely soft tulles to the range. In Ivory or a soft Silver grey, dreamy tutus for girls big and small or a classic veil would be great in this super wide (280cm) fabric, only £4 per metre.
